With Paddington 2 set to open in UK cinemas next week, Flickering Myth’s Thomas Harris caught up with the film’s co-writer and director Paul King and VFX supervisor Glen Pratt this week to discuss the sequel to the 2014 smash hit movie.
Paul reveals how the sequel came about, and the influence of Charlie Chaplin, as well as his 2009 feature Bunny and the Bull, while Glen discusses the technical challenges of bringing the marmalade-loving bear to the big screen. Watch the interviews below, or over on our YouTube channel…

Paddington 2 stars returning cast members Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Imelda Staunton, and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington alongside new additions Hugh Grant, Brendan Gleeson, Richard Ayoade, and Noah Taylor. It is set for release in the UK on November 10th and on January 12th in the States.
