If you’ve not been travelling around West Virginia in Fallout 76 recently then today is the time to go back and revisit as Bethesda has released the first free update for the game, Wild Appalachia. In this first of several updates there will be a series of new quests, features, events, crafting systems and more. Check out the new trailer below celebrating the launch of Wild Appalachia.
First up for the Wild Appalachia update is the brand new questline, ‘Wasted on Nukashine’. In this questline players will need to uncover the secrets of the notorious and illicit Nukashine and unlock the new Brewing and Distilling crafting system. This also leads on to the new Brewing and Distilling crafting system that will see players learning to create a good variety of drinks at the Brewing Workbench and the Fermenter and keep the party alive back at camp.
A new seasonal event quest also hits the wasteland, the Fasnacht Parade will have players helping the robots of Helvetia to celebrate Fasnacht and drive away Old Man Winter. There’s some nice loot and Fasnacht masks to be gained by helping out.
A new Survival mode awaits players and will test the survival skills to see who lives the longest. Let us know in the comments if you think you can come out on top.
Last but not least, the update makes a number of balance changes and introduces a Challenge Tracker for keeping an eye on what needs doing, and a Player Reporting feature allowing players to report those who show less than desirable behaviour for a Vault Dweller.
