Face a post-apocalyptic dystopian world in City 20

February 21, 2024 by Andrew Newton

After five years of development, Untold Games have unveiled their post apocalyptic settlement game City 20 for PC.  This upcoming title will take players into a meticulously crafted world inspired by European sci-fi classics such as Stalker and The Road.  For more on the story watch the new trailer below….

City 20 takes players to a city devastated by a catastrophic nuclear accident, one where the landscape has been transformed by the man-made disaster.  As the remnants of the city’s population find a way to survive, so too must the players and this will affect how the social environment interconnects.

Features of City 20 include:

  • Each survivor in the destroyed city has their own motivations and relationships. How players interact with these people will affect their reputation.
  • A reactive environment may also cause problems for players. Hunt too many rabbits and predators may come hunting in the city for an alternative or tinker with the city’s water supply and people will become desperate.
  • Manage the resources available in order to stay alive. Each decision made is vital and can be the difference between life and death.
  • Inspired by European speculative fiction, City 20 looks and sounds completely different to other games in the genre.

“After five years of crafting, we’re excited to introduce our game, City 20 – a deep systems-driven simulation of post-apocalyptic city life. This journey has been a labour of love, and we can’t wait to share it with the world. This isn’t just a game; it’s the result of years of dedication and passion. With City 20, we’ve made the game we want to play, and we’re thrilled to share more of our latest title with the world.”

City 20 will release on Early Access later this year.
