After just two weekends on screens, Universal’s action sequel Fast & Furious 7 has hit a whopping $800.5 million around the globe, thanks in no small part to a stellar debut in China, where it opened today to $68.6 million, the biggest single day ever in that market.
Dometsically, Fast & Furious 7 pulled in $60.6 million over the weekend for a ten-day cume of $252.2 million, while an international haul of $548.3 million means the James Wan-directed film has now set a franchise high in just ten days, having surpassed the $788.7 million set by Fast & Furious 6.
