Bunnies beware! Paramount has announced that it is rebooting its 1987 thriller Fatal Attraction with a one-hour event series, which is being written and executive produced by Maria and Andre Jacquemetton (Mad Men).
Directed by Adrian Lyne, Fatal Attraction starred Michael Douglas as a married attorney who embarks on an affair with publishing executive Glenn Close – an indiscretion which comes back to haunt him, as well as coining the term “bunny boiler” after the iconic scene where the family’s pet rabbit is found boiling on the stove. The film was a huge hit upon release, pulling in $320 million around the globe, as well as earning six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
The new event series is described as a “reimagining” of the film, but will follow a similar plot.
