Female-led assassin thriller Gunpowder Milkshake adds Carla Gugino

May 21, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Gerald’s Game and The Haunting of Hill House star Carla Gugino has become the newest addition to the upcoming female-driven action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake from writer-director Navot Papushado (Big Bad Wolves).

Gunpowder Milkshake is set to begin filming in June and is described as “a female driven high-concept film that has a rich mythology and spans multiple generations”.

Early plot rumours suggest that the film will revolve around a mother-daughter assassin team, played by Karen Gillan (Avengers: Endgame) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), while the rest of the cast includes Angela Bassett (Black Panther), Michelle Yeoh (Star Trek: Discovery) and Paul Giamatti (Billions)
