It seems like forever now since cameras first began rolling on Mission: Impossible 7, but a year and a half after production first got underway – and numerous shutdowns and delays due to COVID later – director Christopher McQuarrie has taken to Instagram to announce that filming has finally wrapped on the next instalment in the blockbuster spy series.
McQuarrie shared a snap of himself and Tom Cruise from the Derbyshire set of the film, where they’d just shot a train falling over a cliff, as the pair take a breather before heading into post-production on Mission: Impossible 7 – not to mention pre-production on Mission: Impossible 8, which was originally slated to shoot back-to-back with the next instalment before having its release pushed back to 2023.
