Filming has officially wrapped on Aladdin, Disney’s latest live-action remake from its animated back catalogue, with stars Mena Massoud (Aladdin) and Naomi Scott (Jasmine) taking to social media to announce that production on the Guy Ritchie-directed film is now complete.
Wrap day today. What an incredible 6 months. I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every second. Love to my cast and crew, it’s been a pleasure. 😘

Aladdin is one of many live-action adaptations in the pipeline from Disney and is set for release in 2019 alongside Tim Burton’s Dumbo and Jon Favreau’s The Lion King. The film has recently come in for some criticism due to the production “browning up” white extras for background performer roles.
Aladdin is set for release on May 24th 2019 and features a cast that includes Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine), Will Smith (Genie), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), Navid Negahban (The Sultan), Nasim Pedrad (Dalia); Billy Magnussen (Prince Anders) and Numan Acar (Hakim).
