Brian Herbert, son of the legendary sci-fi author Frank Herbert, has announced that filming has wrapped on the hotly-anticipated feature film adaptation of Dune from visionary director Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049).
Planned as the first of a two-part adaptation of Herbert’s seminal novel, Dune began filming in Jordan back in March, and sees Timothee Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name) leading the star-studded cast in the role of Paul Atreides, a character previously portrayed on the big screen by Kyle MacLachlan in David Lynch’s 1984 film.

Also featuring in the film are Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Dave Bautista (Avengers: Infinity War), Stellan Skarsgard (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), Charlotte Rampling (Red Sparrow), Zendaya (Spider-Man: Far From Home), Javier Bardem (Loving Pablo), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Josh Brolin (Avengers: Endgame), Stephen Henderson (Fences), and Chang Chen (The Assassin).

Dune is set for release on November 20th, 2020.
