The BBC has announced via the Radio Times that filming is now underway on the ninth series of the relaunched Doctor Who in Cardiff, with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman returning to the roles of the Twelfth Doctor and Clara.
There had been doubts about Coleman’s involvement in the ninth series, although it was confirmed after the Christmas Special that the actress has signed on for at least one more season, which will make her the longest-serving companion of the NuWho era.
The ninth series of Doctor Who is set to get underway on the BBC later in the year.
