First image from Moonbase 8 featuring John C. Reilly, Tim Heidecker and Fred Armisen

July 13, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Back in April it was announced that A24 has ordered the six-episode comedy series Moonbase 8, and now we have our very first look at the crew of said base, played by John C. Reilly, Tim Heidecker and Fred Armisen.

Moonbase 8 follows three subpar astronauts living in NASA’s Moon Base Simulator in the desert with high hopes of being the next chosen to travel through to the moon.

The series has been created by Armisen and his Portlandia co-creator Jonathan Krisel, as well as Reilly and Tim Heidecker. As yet, there’s no word on a network, as A24 is looking to complete all six episodes before seeking an outlet.
