Fresh from two huge TV hits in Yellowjackets and Wednesday, Christina Ricci is returning to the big screen for the sci-fi action thriller The Dresden Sun, which has just received the above first look image from sales agency VMI Worldwide.
The film, written and directed by Michael Ryan and currently in post-production, sees Ricci starring alongside Mena Suvari, Linus Roache, Steven Ogg and Samantha Win, and follows “a heist that goes south when a brilliant, principled mercenary (Ogg) with a traumatic history works with an insider to steal a prized commodity called ‘the sphere’ from Peredor Corporation and Dr. Dresden (Ricci).”
“The Dresden Sun is an allegorical story that deals with ideas and concepts ranging from corporatocracy, interdimensional reality, grief, arrested development, and apostasy,” said writer-director Ryan. “We at Archetype Pictures appreciate working with VMI and their passionate team and are looking forward to their abilities to help deliver the film to the world.”

Christina Ricci will next be seen in the second season of Yellowjackets, which premieres in March. She can also be heard voicing the fan-favourite DC character Harley Quinn on the new Spotify and DC audio drama Harley Quinn and The Joker: Sound Mind.
