First poster for David Fincher’s The Killer slays us all

August 28, 2023 by EJ Moreno

David Fincher knows a good thriller. Throughout his illustrious career, the filmmaker has crafted some notable genre pieces and is back with a brand-new thriller.

The Killer is an upcoming release by Fincher, set to be released through Netflix this fall. Leading this psycho-thriller is Michael Fassbender in a first-time meeting with the director.

Joining Fassbender is a star-studded cast that includes Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Sophie Charlotte, and Tilda Swinton.

The film is based on the French graphic novel series of the same name written by Alexis Nolent and illustrated by Luc Jacamon. Little is known about the adaptation, but we’ll see a hitman who struggles with his conscience as his clients continue to demand his skills.

In the newly released poster, we get more information on what type of character Fassbender will play. He’s seen sporting a very distinctive hat with a Hawaiian shirt and blazer. As he battles himself on his position in this world, he’ll be wearing a modern-ish noir aesthetic.

We won’t have to wait too much longer to find out about this mysterious David Fincher thriller as The Killer will have its world premiere at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 3, 2023

After a fateful near miss, an assassin battles his employers and himself on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal.

The Killer is set for a limited theatrical release on October 27th, 2023, before streaming on Netflix on November 10th, 2023.
