Following on from this year’s The Dark Tower and It, Netflix is set to close out 2017 with two further Stephen King adaptations in Gerald’s Game and 1922. We got a trailer for the former earlier this month [see here], and now the streaming service has unveiled its first look at 1922.
Written and directed by Zak Hilditch and based on King’s novella from Full Dark, No Stars, the horror sees Thomas Jane (The Mist) leading a cast that includes Molly Parker, Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian D’Arcy James and Neal McDonough; watch it here…
“1922 is based on Stephen King’s 131-page story telling of a man’s confession of his wife’s murder. The tale is told from from the perspective of Wilfred James, the story’s unreliable narrator who admits to killing his wife, Arlette, with his son in Nebraska. But after he buries her body, he finds himself terrorized by rats and, as his life begins to unravel, becomes convinced his wife is haunting him.”
1922 is set to arrive on Netflix on October 20th.
