With its fan love and successful box office, a sequel to Five Nights At Freddy’s was always in the cards, but it has taken some time to get official confirmation.
Now, the lead actor behind the film confirms they are officially moving forward with the sequel. Speaking with Variety, Josh Hutcherson says the studio and crew are now crafting the sequel’s story.
Hutcherson says the filmmakers are now “in the process right now of nailing down the story,” and everyone involved wants to “get going as soon as possible.”
“We hoped it would connect with audiences, but I don’t think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did,” said Hutcherson. “I’m dying to get back on set. Emma Tammi, our director, was fantastic, and it was such a fun world to play in. I’m excited to see what they are doing next.”
