Flesh Made Fear trailer teases blood-soaked PSX-style survival horror

February 14, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Assemble Entertainment has announced they will be releasing the new survival horror title Flesh Made Fear on Steam towards the end of the year.  This new title from California-based developer Michael Cosio is a love-letter to the survival horror games of the PSX era. Watch the new trailer below to see the terror heading to PC gamers…

Flesh Made Fear is set in a world where twisted experiments have caused flesh-seeking infected abominations to roam the streets looking for their next victims.  It takes players to a previously unremarkable town where the former CIA agent Victor “The Dripper” Ripper has carried out vile experiments to create a grotesque slaughterhouse.

Taking the role of a member of the covert task force known as Reaper Intervention Platoon (R.I.P.), players are tasked with entering the domain of this deranged genius, tackling the nightmarish creations, entering Ripper’s laboratory and dispose of the man once and for all.

Players will be able to choose from two different characters – Jack or Natalie, both of which have their own unique stats and story arcs. These two characters are able to equip themselves with a wide range of weaponry ranging from pistols to flamethrowers, although each weapon’s ammo is limited.

Flesh Made Fear features:

  • A puzzle-driven narrative that has players solving puzzles to unlock hidden areas and secrets.
  • Resource management – Limited inventory slots and safe room storage mean players will have to keep an eye on what they carry.
  • Collect items to create a save and use these strategically.
  • Modern controls but with the classic PSX era atmosphere.
  • Fixed and dynamic camera angles with smooth transitions.

Look out for Flesh Made Fear arriving on Steam for PC towards the end of the year.
