In the final stop before The Avengers, Marvel Studios took us back in time to World War II to explore the origin of The First Avenger in Steve Rogers’ super soldier Captain America as he battles The Red Skull and his Nazi-offshoot Hydra.
The last film distributed by Paramount Pictures following Marvel’s acquisition by Disney, Captain America: The First Avenger pulled in $370 million around the globe, which while small change by today’s MCU standards, makes it the third-highest grossing World War II movie of all time after Saving Private Ryan and Pearl Harbour.
