A brand new season has arrived for Fortnite continuing the Zero Point storyline. Chapter 2 Season 7, titled Invasion, brings an alien theme with it as a swarm of mysterious aliens are invading the island. The Imagined Order, under the command of Doctor Slone are fighting back and taking the chaos to the alien invaders. You can watch the new Season trailer below
Unlike previous changes to the island, Season 7 is yet to see any major changes other than the renaming of a couple of areas, however, hovering above the island is a gigantic UFO. This UFO isn’t the only one buzzing around the island and players will be able to shoot them down or even hijack them, UFOs that are shot down will drop nuts and bolts which can be used in crafting, turning normal weapons into superior weaponry, such as a turning an assault rifle into an assault burst rifle.
As well as being able to craft these much better weapons, the Imagined Order also has sophisticated weaponry to help in the fight including a Rail Gun and the Flexible Pulse Rifle, plus players can scan the area with the Recon Scanner.
The Battle Pass brings with it a slew of fresh new skins with an extra-terrestrial theme with Rick Sanchez of Rick and Morty fame making an appearance. Superman is also a hugely anticipated skin but he will arrive at a later date. Fans will be pleased to hear there’s no need for grinding to get the crossover skin as Epic has brought back Battle Stars, the virtual currency you can earn by playing.
Other characters available in the Battle Pass include Kymera, Sunny, Voyager Sunny Style, Guggimon, Joey, Joey Unzipped, Zyg, Doctor Slone, Battlesuit Slone Style and Molten Midnight Zyg Style.
