According to Bleeding Cool, who has a pretty good track record when it comes to DC television scoops, Fox has given the green light to a pilot based upon the DC and Vertigo comic book series Lucifer, which is a spin-off from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman.
Back in September it was announced that the network had tapped Tom Kapinos (Californication) to develop Lucifer on a pilot basis, meaning that Fox needs to air the pilot to avoid a stiff penalty, so the news that it has been given the green light comes as little surprise.
Should Lucifer get picked up, it will become the latest in an ever-increasing list of DC shows from Warner Bros., including Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Constantine and the upcoming iZombie, Supergirl, Titans and Preacher.
