There may be no word yet on further adventures for Mulder and Scully at Fox, but THR reports that the network is set to spoof The X-Files with a new comedy pilot entitled Ghosted, which will reunite Hot Tub Time Machine 2 stars Adam Scott and Craig Robinson.
Described as “a comedic take” on The X-Files, Ghosted “centers on Leroy Wright (Robinson), a cynical, hilarious skeptic, and Max Allison (Adam Scott), a genius “true believer” in the paranormal, who are hired by the Underground Investigative Service to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles — all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.”
Ghosted has been written by Tom Gormican, who will also executive produce alongside Scott and Robinson.
