Frank Langella set for return to FX’s The Americans

April 27, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

FX’s hit show The Americans goes from strength to strength, having recently been picked up for a fourth season, and now it has been announced that Frank Langella is set to return to the show as Gabriel, the KGB handler for main protagonists Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth (Keri Russell).

Executive producers Joel Fields and Joe Weisberg said about Langella’s return: “We’ve been huge fans of Frank’s work for a long time, and it’s been such a pleasure getting to know Frank himself in the beginning stages of working together on the character of Gabriel….We look forward to a great season together, and to what we’re sure will be a phenomenal creative collaboration.”

Langella’s latest film, The Driftless One co-starring Anton Yelchin (Star Trek), Zooey Deschanel (New Girl) and Aubrey Plaza (Life After Beth), has just premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
