Although Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane recently ruled out the possibility of a revival or reboot of the beloved U.S. sitcom, it seems we will be getting a reunion of sorts courtesy of WarnerMedia’s upcoming HBO Max streaming service.
As revealed by Deadline, HBO Max is looking to bring the cast together for an unscripted reunion, which it plans to use help launch the sitcom on the platform after splashing out a whopping $425 million to snatch the streaming rights to the series from Netflix.
The news follows a tease from Jennifer Aniston, who revealed last month that she and co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry were “working on something”.
