The Screen Actors Guild announced the winners of the 2016 SAG Awards last night, with Spotlight taking home the top movie honour, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, and Downton Abbey (Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series ) and Orange Is the New Black (Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series) enjoying success in the TV categories.
In the individual film categories, there were awards for Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant), Brie Larson (Room), Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl) and Idris Elba (Beasts of No Nation), with Elba also picking up a second award on the TV side for his work in Luther. Other television winners included Kevin Spacey (House of Cards), Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Jeffrey Tambor (Transparent) and Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black).
