Gael García Bernal (Babel, The Wasp Network) has become the latest addition to the cast of M. Night Shyamalan’s as-yet-untitled next film.
Details on the project are shrouded in secrecy, but Shyamalan has been quietly assembling his cast over the past couple of months, with Garcia Bernal joining a growing ensemble that also includes Eliza Scanlen (Little Women), Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit), Aaron Pierre (Krypton), Alex Wolff (Hereditary), Vicky Krieps (The Girl in the Spider’s Web), Abbey Lee (The Neon Demon), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Avenue 5) and Ken Leung (The Hangover).

The project is the first of two features that Shyamalan is writing, directing producing and independently financing under a new deal with Universal Pictures similar to that for his past three movies, The Visit, Split and Glass. Health crisis permitting, filming is slated to get underway before the end of the year.
