A trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones, with actual footage from the new episodes, is on its way according to showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
With its April 14 premiere date fast approaching and a teaser becoming public, fans are starting to get very excited about the final ever season of Game of Thrones. The first trailer was certainly received with thanks but fans are really hoping to see some actual footage from the upcoming episodes – something this teaser lacked.
Audiences should fear not, however, as showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss say another trailer with real footage is on the way. Speaking to EW, Weiss said: “I wish there were no trailers. I just want somebody to say, ‘Trust me, go see this”.
When asked if they thought they could get away with not showing anything from season 8 before it airs they didn’t disagree but Weiss said: “We won’t though. Because then we went and saw Ready Player One with our kids and they played the Westworld trailer and it looked great. And we’re like, ‘Ah, we should do that.’”
