George Lucas tops the list of the richest Hollywood movie moguls

February 16, 2015 by Gary Collinson

This will come as little surprise given his $4 billion sale of Lucasfilm to Disney back in 2012, but George Lucas has topped the list of richest Hollywood movie moguls with an estimated net worth of $5.4 billion.

Lucas, whose former company produced the likes of Star Wars and Indiana Jones, narrowly takes first place ahead of New Regency Films owner Arnon Milchan on $5.2 billion, while Lucas’ good buddy Steven Spielberg is third with $3.3 billion.

Here’s the full top ten courtesy of CNN…

1. George Lucas (Star Wars) – $5.4 billion
2. Arnon Milchan (Pretty Woman, 12 Years a Slave) – $5.2 billion
3. Steven Spielberg (E.T., Jaws) – $3.3 billion
4. Austin Hearst (The Vow) – $1.9 billion
5. Ryan Kavanaugh (Little Fockers) – $1 billion
6. Jeffrey Katzenberg (Shrek) – $910 million
7. Thomas Tull (300, The Hangover) – $870 million
8. Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun, Pirates of the Caribbean) – $850 million
9. Steve Tisch (Forrest Gump) – $720 million
10. James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar) – $670 million
