Developer Saber Interactive has announced that Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, the re-release of the well-received action-adventure game from 2009, is set to launch on 4th October 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Ghostbusters: The Video Game served as a sequel to the films, co-writtern by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis and featured the voices of Aykroyd, Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson.
Set two years after the events of Ghostbusters II, the game follows a new member of the Ghostbusters team who is being trained by Stantz, Spengler, Venkman, and Zeddemore while investigating paranormal activities in New York City. These paranormal activities have occured after a PKE shockwave disperses ghosts all over the city. Therefore, you and the rest of the team are tasked with the mission to capture all of the ghosts that result from it. On the journey, you have run-ins with Slimer, the Library Ghost, Walter Peck, Vigo the Carpathian, and Stay Puft.
