Giancarlo Esposito, one of the stars of The Mandalorian, says that he and his character are ready to wield the Darksaber in season 2.
One of the things fans are looking to most in The Mandalorian season two is seeing more of the Darksaber in action. This dangerous weapon is currently in the hands of the villain Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Esposito.
Esposito is pretty excited for fans to see him and the darksaber in action during season two and responded positively when asked by Coming Soon if he was ready to wield this legendary weapon:
“I am. I really am. I want to say I’ve destroyed quite a few of them and the prop guys go, ‘Wow, you go all in,’
“This season is going to be really great. This is the ultimate space western that’s so connected to things that we don’t know and don’t see… The Mandalorian is a series so steeped in myth and the hero’s journey to overcome anything, to be in service… I love this show. I really do. It’s visionary in so many ways and I am happy to be a part of it.”

That’s certainly high praise from an actor who has worked on the likes of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Hopefully, season two can meet expectations when it arrives this autumn.
Season two of The Mandalorian is set to premiere on Disney+ in October and features a cast that includes Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) and Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon).
