According to Variety, Fox has placed a pilot order for a TV adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel Gone Baby Gone, which was previously adapted for the big screen by Ben Affleck in 2007.
The pilot, penned by Robert Levine, will follow “a pair of private detectives, Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro, who are armed with their wits, their street knowledge and an undeniable chemistry as they work to right the wrongs the law can’t in the working-class Boston borough of Dorchester.”
Levine and Lehane will both serve as executive producers on the pilot for the one-hour drama, which is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Miramax. It is the fifth pilot ordered by Fox for the 2018-19 TV season after The Passage, Mixtape, and untitled projects from Ilene Chaiken and Melissa Srivner Love, and Danny Strong and David Elliot.
