Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman tapped to write Gamora comic

October 1, 2014 by James Garcia

According to Bleeding Cool, Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman has been tapped by Marvel to write a comic starring Gamora, who was played by Zoe Saldana in the film.

The news is expected to be officially announced “during or just before” New York Comic-Con, which runs from October 9-12. Perlman wasn’t given much of the spotlight during the press for Guardians, but it was she who first developed the project and brought a script to Marvel, anticipating that the team of outlaws could be another hit for the mega studio. She was right, and now it seems she’s being rewarded for her efforts by getting the chance to write on one of the books that first inspired her.

The Gamora book will be the fourth Guardians of the Galaxy title from Marvel Comics. The other three are Rocket Raccoon, The Legendary Star-Lord, and the continuing Guardians of the Galaxy title.
