UPDATE: Han Solo rumoured to shoot first in Star Wars Digital Edition

April 9, 2015 by Gary Collinson

UPDATE: Turns out there’s no truth to this rumour…

Chalk this one up as a massive rumour, but if BadAss Digest is to be believed, tomorrow’s digital release of the Star Wars Saga will right one of George Lucas’ biggest wrongs from the 1997 Special Edition re-releases.

Yes, according to the site, several sources have confirmed that Han Solo will shoot first in the Mos Eisley cantina scene with Greedo, which if true would fix one of  – if not the – most contentious adjustments Lucas made to his 1977 classic.

If this does turn out to be the case – and we’ll find out for sure tomorrow when the films are released digitally – then it will surely raise hopes that Disney may one day give us high definition versions of theatrical editions of the Original Trilogy.
