Harrison Ford is “curious and excited” about Blade Runner sequel

April 13, 2014 by Gary Collinson

With Harrison Ford (presumably) gearing up for a return to a galaxy far, far away in Star Wars: Episode VII, as well as a rumoured fifth Indiana Jones film on the horizon, it’s easy to forget that he could potentially be returning to another of his previous characters in Rick Deckard, protagonist of Blade Runner.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the proposed sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic, and with Ridley Scott seemingly turning his attention to Prometheus 2 after finishing work on Exodus, it could be quite a while before we hear anything else. However, that that doesn’t seem to have dampened Ford’s enthusiasm for the project, with the star once again expressing an interest in revisiting the world of Blade Runner during a Reddit AMA today:

“I’m quite curious and excited about seeing a new script for Blade Runner if in fact the opportunity would exist to do another, if it’s a good script I would be very anxious to work with Ridley Scott again, he’s a very talented and passionate filmmaker. And I think it would be very interesting to revisit the character.”

Would you like to see Ford back for a Blade Runner sequel? Let us know your thoughts….
