Seeing Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi face-off is a treat for any Star Wars fan. Seeing the two legendary characters face off in an epic battle in an upcoming live-action series? That could send anyone into a fandom manic state.
We are only a couple of weeks away from Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, where we’ll see Hayden Christensen step into the role of Darth Vader once again, and the actor is hyping the appearance and what he will do against his old foe.
In a print interview with Total Film, Christensen compared the lightsaber fights in this film to something more akin to the Prequels than the final confrontation between former master and apprentice, stating: “We’re more in line with the Prequels than we are with how the fights are in the Original Trilogy. These characters have aged, but not that much yet.”

While the original films are certainly beloved, fans will surely be pleased to learn that Vader and Obi-Wan will lean more to Revenge of the Sith than A New Hope, and given how far the tech and fight choreography has jumped in the last decade, these upcoming fights could even out-do the Prequels in terms of quality and spectacle.
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi is being directed by Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian), with McGregor joined in the cast by Hayden Christensen (Darth Vader), Joel Edgerton (Owen Lars) and Bonnie Piesse (Beru Lars), as well as Star Wars newcomers Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Maya Erskine, Benny Safdie and Grant Feely.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney+ on May 27th.
