Hayley Atwell, David Tennant and Nicholas Pinnock to star in Netflix’s Criminal

June 17, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Netflix has announced that Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter), David Tennant (Good Omens) and Nicholas Pinnock (For Life) have been cast in its upcoming police interrogation drama Criminal.

Created by George Kay (Killing Eve) and Jim Field Smith (She’s Out of My League), the series is described as “a stripped down, cat-and-mouse drama that will focus on the intense mental conflict between the police officer and the suspect in question.”

The show will consist of twelve episodes, split three apiece across the UK, France, Spain and Germany, with each produced in local language and from local writers and directors.

Atwell, Tennant and Pinnock will star in the UK episodes alongside Katherine Kelly Lee Ingleby, Mark Stanley, Rochenda Sandall, Shubham Saraf, Youssef Kerkour and Clare-Hope Ashitey, with Kay and Field Smith writing and showrunning.
