The series adaptation comes from David Nutter (Game of Thrones) and Steven Moffat (Sherlock). Nutter directed the series while Moffat wrote and the pair are serving as executive producers with Sue Vertue and Brian Minchin through Hartswood Films alongside Joseph E. Iberti. It is a production between Warner Bros. Television and HBO.
Chicago librarian Henry De Tamble (Theo James) suffers from a rare genetic disorder that causes him to drift uncontrollably back and forth through time. On one of his sojourns, he meets the love of his life, Claire (Rose Leslie), and they marry. But the problems and complexities of any relationship are multiplied by Henry’s inability to remain in one time and place, so that he and his beloved are continually out of sync.
The Time Traveler’s Wife premieres on HBO Sunday, May 15th.
