Following 2009’s rather flat big-screen attempt at adapting Audrey Niffenegger’s book The Time Traveler’s Wife, HBO has unveiled the first teaser for their six-part take on the best-selling time-travel weepie.
Adapted by Sherlock scribe Steven Moffat, with all six episodes directed by Game of Thrones and The Pacific helmer David Nutter, the show stars Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones) as Clare Abshire, Theo James (Sanditon) as Henry DeTamble, Desmin Borges (Utopia) as Gomez, and Natasha Lopez (Runner Runner) as Charisse, and you can check out the teaser below…

Chicago librarian Henry De Tamble (Theo James) suffers from a rare genetic disorder that causes him to drift uncontrollably back and forth through time. On one of his sojourns, he meets the love of his life, Claire (Rose Leslie), and they marry. But the problems and complexities of any relationship are multiplied by Henry’s inability to remain in one time and place, so that he and his beloved are continually out of sync.
The Time Traveler’s Wife jumps onto HBO this May.
