Actor Henry Cavill believes that his experience on Mission: Impossible – Fallout has prepared him to play James Bond, also admitting that he would love to have the role.
If you are a British actor of a certain age and of a certain look, there’s a good chance you’ve been talked about for the much-coveted role of James Bond. Henry Cavill is certainly one of those actors.
Cavill’s latest film is starring opposite Tom Cruise in the action-spy film Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and the actor believes the experience he has gained on the movie will put him in a great position to play 007. Speaking to Yahoo UK, Cavill said:
“I would love to do it of course. I think Bond would be a really fun role. It’s British, it’s cool. I think that now that I have my Mission: Impossible badge we can do real stunts and really amp it up as well… Not to say they weren’t doing real stunts I’m just saying it would be fun for me to actually take what I’ve learnt on this and carry it through to a movie like Bond. I’d love to play a Brit. I don’t get to play a Brit very often. So yes, I would love the opportunity and if they were to ask I would say ‘yes.’”
There’s no question Cavill ticks off a lot of demands for the role of Bond, but whether he is approached for the part once Daniel Craig calls it a day is anyone’s guess. Would you like to see Cavill as 007?
