According to Variety, director Patrick Hughes is set to follow up the hit action comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard with another action flick, Unsafe House, which is being produced by Lionsgate.
The film, penned by Adam J. Epstein and Andrew Jacobson, reportedly “follows three friends who rent a Bahamas beach house over the summer for some R&R, only to come and realize that the location is actually a MI-6 safe house already occupied by a CIA operative. When the house comes under attack, the three friends must team up with the spy in order to survive the ordeal.”
Australian filmmaker Hughes made his feature debut with the acclaimed western Red Hill, and followed that up in 2014 with the action sequel The Expendables 3. Production on Unsafe House is slated to get underway later this year.
