Hordes of Hunger launches into Early Access this March

February 7, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Kwalee and Hyperstrange have announced that they will be releasing their roguelite arena slasher game Hordes of Hunger on Steam Early Access on 6th March.  This action title will see players battle waves of relentless monsters to defend their homeland.  A new trailer can be seen below showcasing the abominations that players will have to slaughter…

In Hordes of Hunger, take control of the fearless warrior Mirah as she battles against the hordes of hungry, monstrous creatures that erupted from the sea and leave the land barren in their wake.  Use a myriad of powerful weapons and abilities and save others from the relentless hordes.

Players will be able to create their own unique build using a range of different weapons and special attacks to become nimble swordfighters or powerful hammer wielders. Using these abilities and weapons, players will be able to defeat the oncoming hordes and increase their level.

With each new level-up that players achieve, new destructive and defensive abilities will become available allowing players to fine tune their build and become a deadly force to be reckoned with.  Combine these abilities and attacks with the environment and take advantage of choke points, high ground and breakable structures.

As players progress through the waves of monsters they will be able to complete missions to save other people from the invasion and gain information that will help Mirah uncover the mysterious origins of the curse that plagues Mirah’s homeland.

Look out for Hordes of Hunger arriving on Steam Early Access this March.
