House of the Dragon episode 5 trailer teases another Game of Thrones wedding

September 14, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

HBO has released a trailer for the fifth episode of the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, which sees King Viserys announcing the marriage between his daughter Rhaenyra and Laenor Velaryon, and chaos ensuing as Otto Hightower continues his efforts to see his grandson Aegon placed on the Iron Throne.

A royal wedding in Westeros? What could possibly go wrong?

Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, which is set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.

House of the Dragon features a cast that includes Paddy Considine (The Outsider), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers), Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man), Steve Toussaint (Small Axe), Sonoya Minuzo (Crazy Rich Asians), Eve Best (Nurse Jackie), and Graham McTavish (Outlander).

House of the Dragon airs on on Sundays on HBO in the US and on Mondays on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
