Huge update for Past Cure brings lots of new content to Xbox One and PS4

July 19, 2018 by Andrew Newton

A huge new update has arrived for Phantom 8’s psychological action thriller Past Cure on Xbox One and Playstation 4.  This new update brings all the new content and enhancements that were recently released on the PC version including new story elements, redesigned levels, reworked sanity meter, new abilities and more.

The new patch features:

  • New areas and redesigned levels to create a more immersive gameplay experience and provide a bigger challenge.
  • Two new abilities have been added –  Mind bash allows players to stun/ kill enemies and destroy environments, unlocking new routes and Mind Fly creates a shield around Ian but comes at a cost.
  • Reworked cinematics to tell more of the story and more added to deliver more of the backstory.
  • A reworked Sanity Meter that doesn’t recover from under 35%.  This can lead to Ian’s nightmares surfacing in the real world meaning  players must decide between fight or flight.

In Past Cure players take the role of Ian, a former soldier struggling with memory loss and the effects of the experiments he went through when he became a lab rat for a sinister character.  Scarred by visions and unstable powers such as time manipulation and telekinesis Ian needs to find those who did this to him and why.  Assisted by his brother and driven by his need for the truth and revenge Ian must delve into the criminal underworld to find his only lead and uncover this conspiracy.

Patch V2 is available to download now.
