Hulu has ordered a new pilot called Crash and Burn based on a bestselling book.
The streaming service, finding success in recent times with their own original content such as The Path and The Handmaids Tale, have now ordered a new pilot based on a 2013 bestseller by Michael Hassan.
Created by Aaron Zelman, the series will track the lives of three troubled boys during three different time periods, staring off with the 90s.
The show is set to contain both mystery and thriller elements while also serving as a character study. The show’s central mystery will revolve around an attempted school shooting.
Hulu seem pretty keen on the project, having fast tracked production to this very summer, setting the pilot’s delivery for this September. The plan at this stage, should the show go forward after the pilot, is for a season of 10 episodes.
Sony TV is the company behind proceedings.
