As reported by Deadline, Antonio Banderas has become the latest addition to the cast for the upcoming fifth and final instalment in the Indiana Jones franchise, with the actor signing on for a currently undisclosed role.
Although production is officially underway on Indiana Jones 5 after spending years in development hell, filming has recently hit another roadblock after lead actor Harrison Ford has suffered a shoulder injury while rehearsing a fight scene.
While plot details are currently being kept under wraps at Disney and Lucasfilm, we do know Banderas will star alongside Harrison Ford who is returning as Indy for the fifth and final time, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), and Toby Jones (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) – whose roles are also being kept secret.
