The long-delayed Indiana Jones 5 has taken another step closer towards production as Deadline reports that the film has added Boyd Holbrook (Logan) and Shaunette Renée Wilson (The Resident) to the cast.
Holbrook and Wilson will star alongside Harrison Ford, who will once again don the hat and whip as Indiana Jones, as well as Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Mad Mikkelsen (Hannibal) and Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron). This will mark a reunion between Holbrook and director James Mangold after their work on Hugh Jackman’s final outing as X-Men Wolverine in Logan. Who Holbrook and Wilson will play, like the rest of the franchise newcomers, is being kept under wraps along with any plot details by Disney and Lucasfilm.
The only other information fans have is Mikkelsen’s excitement for the film as he recently spoke about reading the script and how the story was “everything I wished it to be.”
Indiana Jones 5 will see director James Mangold helming Harrison Ford’s fifth and final outing as the archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones with Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall serving as producers, while John Williams will once again compose the score. The film is currently slated for a July 29th, 2022 release.
