Producer Frank Marshall has taken to Twitter to announce that filming has finally wrapped on the long-delayed fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones series – which will reportedly be Harrison Ford’s final time as the beloved adventurer.

Development on Indiana Jones 5 hasn’t been the smoothest as not only was the film stuck in development hell for several years – which also consisted of Steven Spielberg stepping down as director – but when filming began back in June, the film hit numerous hurdles including the pandemic and Ford suffering a shoulder injury a few weeks into production.
Indiana Jones 5 sees Harrison Ford returning as Indy for the fifth and final time alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) and Toby Jones (Captain America: The Winter Soldier). Plot details for the film are still being kept under wraps, however, set photos that surfaced last year featured extras dressed as Roman soldiers, adding fuel to the rumours that the film will incorporate time travel elements.
