Zombie shelter survival game, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, is now available on Steam Early Access. This new survival title will have players lead a small band of survivors in a Texan town overrun with zombies. Players will be kept on their toes during the game’s early access phase, with content updates planned for every four to six weeks. A new trailer can be seen below showing what to expect in this once welcoming town…
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days takes players to the town of Walton in 1980’s Texas. The temperature is high, but so is the amount of zombies roaming the streets looking for their next meal. It will be up to players to lead their group of desperate survivors and find a way out to safety.
To ensure the survival for the group, players will have to upgrade their shelter, seek out allies and sneak past the zombie hordes to search for food, weapons and other useful equipment. Not all those who have survived the collapse of society are willing to negotiate, cooperate or share, so having to fight the living is almost as likely as having to fight the undead.
Players will be able to make decisions of what to do, whether it be to fight an enemy or retreat, where to investigate and what escape plans to follow. But in a world of chaos, where dynamic events can lead to either catastrophe or salvation, the only chance for survival is by cautious planning, careful explorations and accepting the consequences.
As mentioned above, the early access phase will contain frequent content updates, the first of these can be expected to arrive in May. This first update will feature zombified survivors, door barging, a new shelter option and more.
Players can dive into the horror of Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days on Steam now.
