The Man From Toronto has had a tough time making its way to the small screen; first Jason Statham jumped ship to be replaced by Woody Harrelson, and then Sony decided to give it to Netflix as part of their first-look deal. It’ll arrive on the streaming service at the end of the month, and Entertainment Weekly has shared an exclusive first-look poster and trailer that you can check out below…
Directed by Patrick Hughes (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), The Man From Toronto tells the story of the world’s deadliest assassin (Woody Harrelson) and New York’s biggest screw-up, Teddy (Kevin Hart), who are mistaken for one another at an Airbnb rental and find themselves forced into teaming up as they try to evade a group of assassins out to kill them.
Joining Harrelson and Hart in the cast are are Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), Jasmine Mathews (The Tomorrow War), Ellen Barkin (Animal Kingdom), Lela Loren (Power), Pierson Fode (Reboot Camp) and Jencarlos Canela (The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia).
A case of mistaken identity arises after a screw-up sales consultant and the world’s deadliest assassin—known only as The Man from Toronto—run into each other at a holiday rental.
The Man From Toronto is streaming on Netflix from June 22nd 2022.
