Over the weekend it was announced that Legendary Pictures’ King Kong prequel had undergone a change of name to Kong: Skull Island, as well as having its release date pushed back to 2017, and now it has been revealed that J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man, Whiplash) has signed on to the cast of the monster movie.
Simmons will join the previously announced Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World) in Skull Island, which is being directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) from a script by John Gatins (Flight) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla).
Kong: Skull Island is set for release on March 10th 2017.
