It has been a piece of casting news as conspicuous as the green superhero she’ll face off against in Marvel Studios She-Hulk TV series, but the The Good Place‘s Jameela Jamil has finally confirmed her role in the upcoming Disney+ show with an Eye of the Tiger accompanied training video and the message that she’s “Fighting my way through the MCU”.

Jamil will star alongside Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk as well as Ginger Gonzaga as Walter’s best friend, Tim Roth who will be reprising his Incredible Hulk role as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton).
She-Hulk will follow Jennifer Walters (Maslany), a criminal defence lawyer who finds herself transformed into the sensational She-Hulk after an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner. The series has been described as a half-hour legal comedy to be directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia with Jessica Gao as the lead writer.
