It was rumoured last week that James Gunn’s follow up to smash-hit space opera Guardians of the Galaxy would be titled Guardians 3000. Production Weekly noted the title, prompting many sites to report the title change, but that has now all been debunked.
Taking to Twitter, James Gunn announced that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would NOT be titled Guardians 3000 saying, “there is NO truth to the rumor GotG2 is called Guardians 3000. I don’t know where @prodweek got that.”
